I Want My $120 Back!

It was a great experience playing through the beta process. The developers are doing a wonderful job creating an amazing product. I really enjoyed the chances that I got to play and would really enjoy many more.
There is just one problem: for some unknown reason the game will no longer launch on my system. There is nothing wrong with the game. It actually plays just fine. Even though in my excited zeal, I deluded myself into thinking that my GeForce 330m met the minimum specs. Still the game ran fine.
An incredibly odd problem occurred with the patcher. I start the patcher. MWO logo appears. MWO logo disappears and mechlab fails to launch. Can't relaunch patcher because a process of the patcher is still running. Close the process in task manager, and the same cycle repeats itself.
Uninstall MWO, spend a whole day downloading the patch, and it works fine. Until the whole thing patcher problem starts over again.
Contacting support was no help. After sending them a few log files they essentially said, "your system doesn't meet the minimum specs, Sorry. look at this forum topic that might help even though it doesn't address your problem." I Played a game that I fell in love. That actually works just fine. Only I have to waste a day every week to redownload all the files.
Honestly, I feel like the support staff member wasn't even paying attention to the issue. It was a quick, "doesn't meet specs, so that must cause all problems" when the description of the issue that I gave clear said that there was no problem with game play or performance. This became especially clear when a recommended forum topic didn't address my issue at all. Just a busy person going through his tasks as quickly as possible.
Once more, I will try to work with support. And while it is obvious that my system doesn't meet specs, it isn't obvious that is the problem. It is heartbreaking to be excited about a product centered around a childhood love only be unable to afford the satisfaction of mechs going boom.
Maybe the issue will be resolved. That would be nice. Likely it won't. Even less likely is a refund being issued either. I mean it is obviously my fault for not investigating ambiguously unclear differences between model numbers. Maybe I can come back in a few years when I can afford a suitable machine and have my c-bills and credits waiting for me. Mostly, I'd prefer to invest the $120 in something that would actually allow me to participate.

Maybe move to another game for a while, then come back after a few patches and see if the problem persists.

You could try in the Patch New issues/known issues/workarounds subforums and see if anyone has any ideas.

I've had this issue before, took me a good 5-6 tries of terminating the process before it started to work.

Im guessing when it was closed beta there was a manageable level of members to have an open tech support forum
after open beta when anyone can sign up and play it could be an overwhelming section of the forum, it could lead to slow response time which would lead to other customer service issues
I really have no idea and Im just guessing here, but I can think of a number of reasons why support would move to email only after open beta

I've had this issue a few times and my system is definitely above recommended specs. in my case it's almost always been related to other programs gobbling bandwidth while the patcher tries to connect to the server, for some reason it isn't going to a connection time-out properly.
Hope your problem is as simple as mine was

I deleted all game files and opened the patcher, it went straight to ready even though all the game and engine files were gone...
you have to completely uninstall and then reinstall the game for it to download and install any corrupt or missing game files, its a bit of a hassle really
there should be a file integrity check of some type, like with all other online games
