Howdy everyone, I'm pretty new to the community; hell I just joined not too long ago. Be nice to me, maybe ;) -- anyhows, time to get baptized in a hail missles and lazers, pretty new to the game and genre, but it seems pretty interesting.

On a side note, is there a way to practice the game, not in a live fire settings, I mean just doing the rudamentary manuever, operate, and target practice with the mech?-- As far as I can tell the only way to play is by choosing a mech and pressing launch. If there isn't, well--guess I can just practice by being a third wheel for whichever team I may be on.
Take care, and cheers!

Weclome to the game!

Sadly at the moment there is not practice option, but the devs have stated that it's in the works.

Feel free to jump on one of the teamspeak servers (stickied in general discussion). Hell you don't even need a microphone (though it is preferred). Most groups are always looking for 1 more pilot to add to a lance (military unit consisting of 4 mechs).

welcome, best advice is to check the forums for the mechs you are/plan on using. This is a deep game, where knowledge is power!

Good luck, and don't let a few deaths put you off (we all went through that) :)

Edit: I say check the forums as there seesm to be a dearth of official information regarding how to play this game; weapon damage probably being the most prevalent!
