Since ECM came, the game hasn't changed much for me. Still walking around mostly with heat vision, watching my step and engaging the battle when i feel i can do something.
Then again i never used LRMs or Streaks, because I find them boring to play with in the first place...

Sometimes, yeah. But in general, I don't mind mixing it up. The playstyle I was referring to is being resigned to being ganged by a lance of lag-shielded, ecm's lights if I stray a bit from my lancemates (which is pretty easy to do in the pug's I frequent). Before the addition of ECM, I could at least soften the wolves up a bit with LRMs before they were on my Atlas, giving me a chance while I figured out just how far in front of the little speedsters I had to aim with my lasers to actually score a hit. Now, I feel like a sick moose getting culled from the herd.

Thanks to those that didn't take the opportunity to flame me for the OP. I'm not leaving, just waiting. I've been a Battletech fan for over 25 years (yeah, I'm old... sue me.), and I REALLY hope this game turns out to be all that it can be. Keep your eyes on the dream, and not your wallets, devs.
