A trend in today's games...
It is the worst with big AAA brands. I mean, they never go into the state when everyone can play for free (due to obvious reasons), but when they do make public betas... you can't help but feel bad for them. Just look at CoH2. The amount of NDA breaches is massive, just because they let a set number of people in to test the servers (at least I hope that is the reason, the THQ hasn't been doing great lately...
).

What is hawken supposed to be? from what I gathered its unreal tournament, with more limited weapon selection per match and player models that look like robots.
Not that I've looked at it much at all. there was too much "THIS GAME IS FAST PACED! FAST PACED FIRST AND FORMOST WE ARE FAST PACED! DO YOU SEE WHAT THIS IS? IT IS THE PACE! IT IS FAST!"
