That said - I am surprised on occasion. The 'Commando is OP!' threads caught me by surprise. [Garth]

So the feedback is any mech that works is being called OP by individuals.

yes because it's a variety of mechs, not just one mech group. That means they all have the power to do each other over.

Imo, there are no under powered mechs in this game. They all have their advantages and pilot skill fills in the gaps.

i think the consensus is that ECM is OP. and nobody said the commando was OP until ECM.

Currently, I wouldn't say any mech besides the Raven is OP, and only the Raven because of its intense lag shield. Manageable with good allies, but frustrating as all hell.

What? Those two mechs were in the question. The dev responded by saying there's a lot of variety in the emails. They are two unrelated statements.

Did he make a statistics on how often each chassis was called OP? (Not that I expect him to do so, PMs aren't exactly the easiest thing to statistically count...)

That some people complain about everything may be normal, actually. But you have to look for the anomalies and outliers. Those can tell you a story.

I mean, REALLY?!

Who are these people who make up the game rules and mechanics? I want to see these people face to face.

There are groups dedicated to pulling nothing but Catapults for god sakes and if it wasn't for ECM I'd still be dealing with the 2 most annoying variants. The raid boss and the TEE HEE MISSILE FLASH GAME.

I'd like to hear the ******** justification for the fact LRM5's do as much DPS as PPC without the heat from across the map, behind and over cover.

I'm going to be using ECM as often as possible, just incase it was infact a fluke and the devs really are that disconnected from reality.

The previously O.P mechs like the A1 and the Jenners are just not as good anymore. ECM basically nerfed the LRM boat, the streak cat and the Jenner. Not bad things in my opinion. Direct fire mechs are now more common which is fine I think. A1s and boats need help in ECM environments. If there isn't ECM around, they are still dangerous. Commandos are not O.P if you have ECM help to counter. They blow up quite nicely.

But, having said that, my new raven with ECM has made life much easier. I'm getting 2 or 3 kills a game, like I do with my Cents, but I'm not dying as often.

What ECM has done, is change which mechs are O.P. I sold my streak cat and got an ECM mech like everyone else. Game balance will keep moving with each patch, tweak and when new mechs and equipment are introduced. I don't think we can complain about that in a rapidly evolving game like this.

My Founders Atlass with an AC20, 4 medium Pulse, and 2 SRM6 is way over powered. I even get One shot kills using it! ECM has totally hampered the ability to beat this monster. Stop me before I kill again!

Wrong. My streakmando was OP and all the jenner pilots whined about it long before ECM.
