^^ From Serenity, when the Operative panics. Makes me laugh my head off every time, and I chuckle whenever a drop commander goes into panic mode in MWO when they get all confident about stomping a Jenner and then a lance of Atlases crests the ridge :P

Excellent movie. And a great reference!

Nice to see that positive new player glow. I couldn't agree more with your fun factor rating.

Just think about how good it will be when community warfare comes online.

Played tabletop MW way back in the day and the first 2 Computer games. Just downloaded yesterday and I have to say it's very brutal, but extremely fun.

Initial thoughts:
  • Started off using a joystick, but that didn't last long as I has serious issues being able to go where I wanted to. Switch to keyboard/mouse and it was much better.
  • Learned Faster is not always better when you are learning to control your Mech. So fast, light Mechs are off the table for now.
  • Still haven't gotten the hang of missiles or targeting.
  • I love the complexity of the game. It's more than just point and shoot!
  • Dying is not a bad thing. I'm still learning and I still make some cash..
  • Don't shoot friends, it's bad, mmmmmkay..
  • Lastly, I'm living up to my handle more than I'd like. LOL!

Things to do
  • Get voice chat setup.
  • Practice manuevering.
  • Never give up.

So if you see a Mech pilot wandering aimlessly and firing wildly, it just might be me. So be gentle and if you are an ally it might be best to not walk in front of me, at least till I get the fire control skills down. :P

Oooh an other positive post from a new rookie pilot. Welcome Panicfire! Good to read you're having fun. Always good to know not all new players are screaming madmen!

See you on the battlefield!

"Oooh an other positive post from a new rookie pilot. Welcome Panicfire!"

I totally agree.

It's a bit of a brawlers match right now with the way the ECM has been implimented. This to shall pass as new patches are added.
Good luck, and have fun Panicfire!
