It seems like the K-2 has retained the jump jet vents in the back of its torso that, its missile counterparts can use.
Why is that? Since even when weapons are taken out, for example the PPC, the arms change to reflect that.
Every raven chassis seems to also have jump jet vents, but oonly one raven variant can use jump jets.

Why Does The K2 Have Jump Jet Vents?

Why do some cars retain a plastic fog light bezel (blocked off) when that trim package isn't equipped with fog lights
.
In reality, the designers probably don't feel it is necessary to change it from the master model. Even the PPC barrel changes to the K2 just happened a short time ago. Who knows, they might tweak the model eventually, but I doubt it.

Because making a completely new model for something like that is not worth the effort, especially when such vents are often used for heat sinks on some designs.
It's just a matter of how much they want to devote to making each individual variant of each mech chassis accurate.

i mean they do put in some effort to have the weapons match with actual loadout. They would just be doing what they have been with the weapons except in JJ vents. and i get the K2 but why do all ravens have jump jet vents when only 1 raven variant can use them

simple. mass production. pick a base line model then make small changes at end of run for variants

i see that would make sense for the K2 since the jump jet variants came first and are primary. But what about the Raven? It was first made to not have jump jets, then only one variant was modified to have it. Why do Ravens all have jump jet vents?
