The interface is just terrible right now. You should be able to talk with your group before fighting without opening a separate chat box; like the lobby in 'Left 4 Dead'.

After the game all 8 players should also return to a post game lobby to chat about the game and friend each other.

These changes will result in a much more social and friendly community.

completely unnecessary, i don't want another thing i have to click through (esp w the buggy UI) to get back to the mech bay so we can drop again.

Also there's a cap on your friends list, and I need that space for guys in my unit no way I'm gonna friend randoms froma match

A nice ingame chat system with maybe a few lobbies would be a big improvement I think.
