Like a bigger, more solid pault without the ears? That would be cool.

I think if they'd have kept the knees bending the same way as the original artwork that would be less of an issue. Overall I like it. Just wish the knees bent the other way.

It might be the devs/artists took basic forces like gravity into account before designing the model. But still, my naive imagination...

I saved up 27 mil so far for this mech. The Stalker was always my favourite in Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries, and I'm looking forward to adding it to my arsenal.

it would seem, as already pointed out, they have indeed shortened the nose, and lifted the arms to become ears instead. Looks less assault-y and more catapult-esqe to me this way, I was expecting more bulk in the torso and less in the arm-ears. The hooves look a bit odd in game, too, but I could learn to love them I suppose.
That said, I still find this an attractive design, and intend to pick up at least one. I'll either name her "Pain Bus" or "Battleship", depending, although she looks less bus or ship-like now.
Edit: Ooh, or "Reaver", after the class of titan of the same name from WH40k. Smaller than a Warlord, with Missile pods and energy weapons! Or would a Warlord be a closer fit? hmm. Off to research!

Note the missile bays are open (the flaps are down) but there's no pods.
Also note that in the Stalker in the foreground that there's a very obvious hold in the more rectangular portion where the zeppelin like nose cone meets. I am pretty sure they are still trying to figure out the proportions.

Original Stalker shows 'knees' bending in both directions.

Or maybe it could get a quick once over before next week? They totally managed it when we pointed out that the Cent chassis was too fat.

No it doesn't... it's shown as a front walker, and that image is just at the limits of flexion.
I'm not too fussed though; Just reduce the size of the arm pods, or even just lower them, and the design will be fine.
I suspect that they're pushed up on the mech due to articulation though; the flaps would bump up against the top of the legs/hips if they were lower than that.
To which I would suggest... who cares! Just keep the concept art silhouette and use a hinge on the flap that retracts them into the body of the pod. That way the issue of bumping flaps with hips is averted.

If I have one gripe about the model, it's that the feet are WAY too small. A Stalker should have huge, stompy hooves, not those tiny little geisha feet. They're so small it looks like the Stalker is walking on it's ankles.

Im really disappointing about how big the arms are, people compare it to the catapult a lot, but It REALLY just looks like a big catapult...
That would be because the Stalker is a big catapult.
