Hello everyone,

I just did pick up an idea which was posted at the international forum but wasn't posted here so I thought about posting it here. ^^

The idea is:

Instead of getting the message 'Out of Bounce' there might be a message like:

'Incoming AeroSpace fighter'

'Entering minefield'

or something like that.

You may ask now why that may be suggested.

Quiet simple. It might give a more harmonious atmosphere to a message which is not very pleasant... :(

Another benefit might be that with such a message there might be rendered another death scene from the devs (if wanted and if the time could be spared )

I have to say I would love the idea of getting a death scene when I run off the battlefield and beeing killed by some AeroSpace fighters. ^^

this is a change that i think would add immersion to the game, and it should be easy to change the message. the death scene would take a lot more work. this would add a lot of cool factor to the out of bounds deaths and give an acceptable in game reason for why you have to stay in the area.

it could even be an orbital bombardment of some kind.

we would have to be careful about how it is displayed so that inexperienced players can easily figure out that it is related to level boundaries.

I feel aerospace fighters don't make much more sense than the current system. If we have aerospace fighters, why don't they help killing of the enemy?

Minefield, on the other hand - now that sounds fitting.

hmm, are you sure? right now it isn't and if it's an ETA of an event like the incoming of the aerospace fighters it wouldn't be too.

but anyway...i'm not deep enough in programing to say what would be possible and what wouldn't be. I just did pick up an idea that did sound good to me and liked to be presented to the community  about the details there may discuss the devs about  *g*

Aerospace fighters and artillery is already in the works.

They will be used like single use modules, target location, bombs drop.

so I don't think you want to confuse players as to whether they are out of bounds or in danger of suffering an actual aerospace attack.

cool idea though.

It does not add immersion. The idea that there's all kinds of artillery and aircraft shooting only just outside of where you are fighting (and yet not at the enemy position you actually are fighting) is an old and bothersome technique invented by call of duty.

Really its better just to consider the person leaving the field of battle as AWOL, that's realism.

Wasn't there a LRM ammo that laid mines? I'm searching my old mind on this one. lol
