For now my only real issues with them is that Lasers are easier to hit with because you can drag the beam onto target if you miss initially, and that w/out some kind of disrupt effect like they had in MW4 they hit kinda soft compared to autocannons....many other pilots feel the same way on these points, so many pilots are using cannons or lasers instead of PPCs right now.
PPCs are supposed to get a buff next patch that increases shot velocity (accuracy) and supposedly gives them a disrupt effect- they will probably be much more fun to use after next week.
What The %^&& Is The Problem With Ppc?

Stand very close to a building on River City ( building on your right side ) and you facing forward.

Fire your right arm PPC. Watch your PPC bolt fire across your cockpit to the left, no where even close to where your arm crosshair is pointing,

PPCs have a minimum range....they will miss frequently if shot at targets under 90m.

I remember in WoT there was a keyboard command to turn on server side crosshair which was way different then what you thought you were aiming at. Turning that on helped a great deal. Maybe MWO should add that feature also ?
