I noticed that the model of the Ilya Muromets is a bit stiff when it comes to different loadouts. Other mechs often display different details on the model when weapons are changed or swapped out. Laser-lense are sealed, weapon-models are changed, weapon-cases and barrels appear or disappear and so on.

The IM got NOTHING of this. When I pull out the ac/10 completely, the huge barrel stays. :) Same goes for the ac/5 in the arms. When I changed the ac/5s into uac/5s I expected the barrels to change since I know that some models of the Cataphract feature gatling-like barrels. I know this is not realistic since rotary-autocannons are not yet in the game, but it is still a nice detail.

Why is the model for the IM (maybe for all Cataphracts, dunno) so inflexible and static? A mech I spent a considerable amount of money on should come with a few options for model details, shouldn't it PGI? :)

Give it some love in future patches. Thanks in advance. ;)

the model customizations for weapon switchouts usually come later (Same applied to the cplt and raven and etc.)

i would expect them to do it as time/resources permit, but since it's purely cosmetic i don't mind them prioritizing it behind fixing things like the ctd or hud error =D

but yes, it would be really cool if the models updated to match every weapon type that gets slotted, makes visual identification of a mech's weapons easier, especially when blocked by ecm.

maybe they will add this later. Since LM has a different texture, maybe they just havent made it yet.

Yeah thi sis def a problem t hough. On top of the can't change Hero mech's colors, the loadout does not reflect in the model

makes it look like less than premium content. People are already hard pressed to buy it for $25

This. They've actually been steadily adding more of this to all of the mechs, but they don't note it in the patches so you don't see it unless you go look.

For example, my CTF-1X didn't have the arm gun change at all if two energy weapons were mounted when the mech came, no matter what the weapons were. Since the last patch, the PPC barrel now changes to a laser lens if there are two lasers mounted (and it will actually move the PPC barrel to the upper mount if a PPC is the first weapon loaded).

Sounds good. I hadn't noticed that some mechs got it added later, due to the fact that I don't grind that much since open beta and haven't had that many new mechs in my garage. ^^ Thanks for the info, let's hope they will do that. :D
