HA! 2 IN ONE DAY! I have disrupted the intended rhythm of this post.

"Confront them with annihilation, and they will then survive; plunge them into a deadly situation, and they will then live. When people fall into danger, they are then able to strive for victory. Unless they are ******* whining entitled pansies, who give up at the drop of a hat, and then make ***** posts about how MWO sucks".
- Sun Tzu

I think the late General Patton may have interjected at the end there, but it's still the words of Sun Tzu.

Not quite a quote. Just shows how mindlessly following a policy without looking at the big picture can bite you in the butt. B)

"Why hasn't the tech department replaced the faulty server parts yet? One of our systems has been down for three hours."

"The tech department's policy is to exhaust all existing resources before requesting to make new purchases so that we can save money."

"Well tell whoever made that policy that we've already lost enough revenue worth 30 of those parts during the time they've been 'exhausting all existing resources' and we're losing 10 more every hour."

"I just told them. They are transferring the system to a new server immediately."

We need two kinds of acquaintances, one to complain to, while to the others we boast.
Logan P. Smith
Don't let the fear of striking out hold you back.
Babe Ruth
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
– J. Russel Lynes

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself.
– Harvey Fierstein

Honestly i was shooting at the other guy when i blew you up in my trial mech

John Sedgwick was a general in the Union Army in the American Civil War. He saw many engagements and was wounded by bullets three times - but was seemingly immune to fear.
In his last moments on earth, he said:
"They couldn't hit an elephant at this distance."

"There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution."
