Could an option to buy just the BattleMech Chassis be implemented? Has no components, just the Battlemech itself. The option to sell the Battlemech and its components already exists, would be nice to have this option for buying Battlemechs as well. Of course at a reduce C-bill & MC cost.

I'd love to be able to build a mech from the chassis up.

Furthermore, I'd like a selection of different types of actuators, gyros, life support systems, sensors, cockpit components, and other "behind the scenes" parts.

For example, there could be multiple types of actuators (made from different manufacturers), from low quality to high quality and priced accordingly. Higher quality parts give a slight performance boost or can withstand slightly more damage.

'tis but a pipe dream though...

While we are on the subject of naked chassies, I would really like a button of some kind that allows you to strip all gear a chassies all at once, instead of having to remove each component one by one.

The OP idea will not happen, but this might. I like it a lot.

I do not like the OP suggestion. It's like buying a new car, but just the frame. Doesn't make very much sense.

I do like a strip 'mech button, for complete overhauls though. Could be useful.

If I already have an engine, transmission, etc, why would I need any more than just the frame of a car? As it is, one of the biggest costs of a new mech is the engine, and I already have a couple extra, so I wouldn't mind being able to buy an empty chassis.

It makes a ton of sense. Many tons, actually. When you already have several hundred tons of weapons, equipment, armor, etc. lying around your mech bay, you really don't need to buy a stock variant just to strip out the stuff you don't want and re-equip it.
