I thought that someone was saying that Piranha was done making the Marauder able to be Reseen, not that someone was done making a new PC.

I feel mad now... :P

you have a GTX580 stuffed into a micro ATX mini tower? Hope it has enough air ventilation/circulation to keep cool.

It's working fine, though I love the initial heat blast when the GPU cooler kicks in. Oddly the only cooling issue was the lousy factory Intel cooler for the i7, thing would not stay put on the mobo, so I replaced it with a Corsair H60.

I was due for a main desktop PC upgrade anyway so I built "Marauder". Once I know what's going to be supported by MWO, I'm going to build something a bit more uber to go with a cockpit build.

I hear you on the stock cooler. I have a H60 on my 2600k OC'ed to 4.5ghz, but I also added a second fan to the H60 for a push/pull config.

Yeah, I went push/pull for mine though I don't OC since I usually try to get 5 years minimum out of a machine. My previous desktop, a 3GHz Pentium D, 4gb DDR2, 250GB PATA HDD, and GeForce 8800GTS is still running 6 years after building it.

See if you can't get a small SSD into that build. Even if it's only small enough for Windows and a game or too it is really worthwhile having one.

Also, do you plan on overlocking the CPU? If you do you should check out something beefier than that H60, the core on the radiator is quite thin.

I have no interest in OC'ing. I build mainly for stability and durability.

As it sits I can run MWLL at max settings without putting much of a dent at all in temperatures.

Respect +1 for that quote alone.

I'm not one for over-clocking either, I build for stability over 'UBERNESS' and so far my rigs gotten me through the worst thousand-player -plus sieges and open world pvp in a half dozen online games since 2007. When other crash, only I remained to hold the bulwarks and defend the realms... until the servers crashed and took my client with them.

Question though: 1GB HDD? Is that supposed to be TB?

Otherwise there are memory sticks hanging from key chains with more storage than your pc :D

Guess I showed my age a bit. I remember my first 1Gb HDD. Bought it for the rig I built to play MW2.

Yes, and it's the best kind of brainwashing, it's the truth.
