Not the damage, not the heat gain.

Nope, it's the fact that it blinds people it hits.

I just had this happen to me and it was SO aggrivating

Hunchback, 3 flamers
Raven, ECM

One gets in your face with flamers, other acts as a guardian against LRM support/streaks.

Watch as you get picked apart.

I call them, flamebacks. Or Hunchthrowers I guess.

Flamer needs to either be removed or reworked, it's TOO much of a flame and blinding capability for how little it requires. You can shoot what you can't see.

How I feel when flamers are used on me:

(Yes, I'm a NJ Devils fan)

I think they should ban damage because it's too powerful. It breaks my engine and ruins immersion. I think if they removed damage we would get more of a chance to explore the beautiful maps the devs made for us! Lets remove damage!

Sounds kooky at first, but he kinda has a point. I don't know if I've exactly seen it used as a strategy so far, but I have had flamers blind me like that before....other weapons can do the same thing but not continuously like flamers could.

"OP" might be the wrong way to put it, but it could be an unintentional exploit...be interesting to hear what a Dev would say about it.
