On my Atlas, I have a BAP equipped, but it doesn't show up as an item on the list of weapons and equipment.

It has no active/passive state like ECM, AMS etc so theres no need.

He means in the mechlab, and he is correct.

Its a glitch.

I noticed it myself, thats the mechlab even though it has 6 slots to display weapons and equip does not always use them all usually only uses 4 of them.

I'll bet if you take it off the atlas and put it on a mech with only 1 or 2 pieces of weapons/equip it will show up fine, at least thats what i've noticed.

Like i said, its a glitch, ive noticed it, ill bet it will show up in other mech with less weapons/equip and i have confirmed that the BAP does work in game even with not on list in mechlab so you will be fine.

I have one on my AWS-8T for some tinkering around and if the enemy isn't good with the ECM or doesn't have it at all, it works fine.

You said you use it then said why you shouldn't in the exact same sentence.

It works very well with the extended sensor range module, can spot targets at 1140 meters. Great for LRM support mechs or snipers that want to see where they are landing shots, or even keeping a eye on where there scouts are going.

I think ECM countering it is lame but it is still useful, moreso in 4 man or pug games though as most 8 mans nowdays run to much ECM for it to be useful with full teams.
