To be quite frank, the role of any Assault mech other than an ECM Atlas is now as support for the ECM Atlas'. Your job is to be a meatshield or to engage enemies that close the distance on your ECM Atlas. Seriously, any assault mech but the ECM Atlas is just a second-class mech now.

Stalker will be a striker.
It will do a massive amount of damage but it will be very vulnerable at short range (not because armor, but because low maneuverability and lack of arm movement).
