Raven 3L can mount ECM, which for me would the way to go. YMMV.

Not really comparable as they are totally different mechs. If money is your issue, the Raven is cheaper.

Raven 3L is the flavor of the month because it is small, fast, ecm, and is lagshielded (for some). Once netcode is put back in, ecm toned down, and knockdown put back in, it'll be put back in its place but I don't think that will be anytime soon. The Stalker will be here in a couple days and everyone will pilot it with probably 4-6 srms and 4-6 mixed lasers.

So, if you like cbills and fast mechs, go with the Raven 3L.

basically, do you enjoy going fast and not carrying much stuff (weapons) or do you prefer going slower but carrying alot of stuff (weapons)?

Knockdown is probably never coming back except as a charge ability. Apparently too many players complained about a "loss of control" problem. I'm not sure why PGI was responsive to players complaining about loss of control during a knockdown, but I'm guessing it was due to players with large mechs purposely building fast heavies, then crashing their mechs into smaller mechs as much as possible.

before ECM i was more of an LRM spammer but i guess im a straight up brawler since ECM came along

BTW is Raven 3L a good starting mech to brawl with??
