It's called: QUIT USING JOY STICKS to aim, use them to STEER.

There are a lot of good solutions out there, but when it comes to aiming, Joy Sticks are not a good solution by any ways, means or form.

Personally, I've used the Razer Naga, the ability to fire multiple number keys on the same hand you are firing makes things a lot more efficient. A logitich G700 isn't on the same field for number of keys, but for Mechwarrior its more than enough and is easier on the hands.
