You know, there is a game called "Magicka".
Why should I talk about that game here? Whell, there is a reason. Maigcka employes some good speel system - you enter a string of "elements" which define effect of a spell in an nonlinear fashion/ Much like a declarative program (if you are programmer, you understand it). Configuring a mech is much like composing a spell in a Magicka. You combine parts to make a thing (mech) that is a maximum extremum in terms of DPS or what ever paramter your tactics deems essential. More complex function of combat teffectiveness is more fun of construction game provides,

And now to thе problem of MWO: Gauss Kitty & other are easily found maximums in game function of fitness. that easyness kills fun a bit. That fun that comes from builing a mech. I know, TT rules defines much of current gameplay, but maybe devs will take notice of my thoughts,
