OK, I have decided on getting Sensor 2 since I already have it and will get greater range. Then with about 7500 GXP left over, collect 2500 more and go for Info Gathering.
My reasoning is it will both save me some CB spending on new modules and both have generic use on all Mechs. I have to admit, getting Info faster on ANYTHING I run will be a benefit.
The others are less generic in use except perhaps Seismic but that one costs more so I may aim for it after Info Gathering.
Thanks a lot for all the feedback, it helped sort this out.

As a new player I'd spend money first on mechs and equipment. Get modules when you've mastered a chassis or two.

I have mastered 2 chassis already and am working on a third.

I like the choices. FWIW, I think you'll end up wanting over half of them, it's really about sequence. Neither of those will be something you regret having, even if you decide you'd have rather have gone another way first.

Advanced Sensor range + Target info. gathering + BAP(not module) + Adv. Seismic sensor= sensory WIN

Optional combos:

Brawling: Target info. gathering + Adv.seismic sensor + imp.Gyro + BAP(to counter the loss of adv.sensor rng)

Direct fire support (AC2..gauss..ppc...etc): Adv.sensor range + Target info gathering + adv. zoom

Missile support: Adv.Sensor range + target info gathering + Target decay + BAP(not module) + Upg.UAV/upg.arty/air strike

My go-to modules on pretty much every mech are advanced sensor range and ino gathering, and i tend towards close in fighting. One thing advanced sensor range does that it doesn't mention is increase the range of detection of ECM mechs out to 250m (from 200) which is handy in general, but really handy if you use LRMs or Streaks, since you have a 70m window where you can lock onto a DDC atlas and shoot, even if you don't have BAP, and otherwise it's nice to be able to work out where to shoot.

My 3rd module (assuming i have the option) depends on mech, 360 is useful for brawlers, decay for LRMS (yuck) or streak lights, keeping a lock through terrain and firing as soon as you re acquire LoS is a good thing. Since they fixed adv zoom it's actually useable, although the lack of peripheral vision from the PiP is really annoying.

These days i rarely use seizmic, since i don't stand still all that often.

The 'free' (CBill, non upgraded) consumables are nice to give you a flavour of the unlocked mod withough wasting GXP on something you're going to hate down the line.
