In fact, me first nontrial mechs since OB was an Atlas then 2 other Atlas variants.
Now people claim that Atlases can't make monies, that you has to skimp on the repair/rearm to make monies, etc.
Well, that be just silly. Me always repair to 100% & rarely keep my ammo partially filled (Me won't rearm if it be something silly like 91% yet wants 30k but me will rearm if it be at 92% and wants 8k) yet me still make a profit...that's with Artemis & as a nonfounder.
In fact, me manage to buy the other 2 Atlases, A cataphract, a cicada, a centurion, a hunchback, and a catapult (DHS for all) by using the Atlases to farm CBills. *Me am limited to 4 mech bays so me just sell the non Atlas mech whenever me am done playing around with it.*
How?
By using what be best in life:
As you be aware, WINNING will net you more monies than losing.
Also damage done/kills/etc will net more monies as well.
Since you be piloting an Atlas at 100%, you use the fact that you will be more likely to win matches to kick more arse.
By piloting an Atlas as it was designed to be piloted you will likely be doing more damage, getting more kills, and winning more matches.
Rather than loading up MORE ammo to take advantage of the 75% free rearm, me carry LESS ammo & use the saved tonnage/space to place better weapons/more sinks/etc.
& finally, sell your extra copies of things such as engines (3 Atlases resulting in 3 300 engines for example) & simply move the one you has around when you want to use it.
Now you may be saying, "Adorable magical hamster, that's crazy talk!"
Well, if the fact that me has never gone back to a trial mech & somehow has those mechs in my mech bay, modules, engines, weapons, etc isn't enough for you...
Here be my current score since OB (The siggy be from the end of CB):
That's right, me win nearly 80% of the matches me play & also have a decently high K/D ratio as an Atlas...which tends to be the first mech focused on.
Fear me pubtastic power. ("')('-')('")
