Ecm Revamp: Make 2 'pods'?

Fellow Pilots,
Just want to get the idea out there and receive feedback on an idea for ECM balancing. I am a newer player that has concentrated on the Commando. I am a few k short on my 3rd and last elite Commando to unlock the last tier to start working towards modules. Of the 3 variants I've been playing, only the Com 2-D is truly viable. Yes, I know this is a hazard of playing a light Mech - you're the 'easy kill'. But even when I've been careful to engage only with friendlies around, the ECM Ravens ignore the Mediums and Heavies and SSRM you quickly and efficiently without a jammer of your own. Not QQing, as I can do the same in my -2D; it's just a fact. So it led me to think - why don't we have 2 ECM 'pods' in the game? Even if it is a temp fix, it would balance out the Raven Superiority without clipping their wings entirely...punny, yes I know.

So here it is: have an ECM and an ECM-Jammer (ECM-J). Why not have a 1-2 slot 1.5-2 ton ECM-J for balance? If you want both abilities, especially on the lights, you'll pay for weight and slots. It also allows the ability to limit which, IF ANY, Mechs that can have both and switch between the two. You can also balance having more Mech variants able to field more than the other. Do we need more ECM or more ECM-J? In the end, it appears a bit OP in the current system to be able to have both abilities to jam and counter jam so easily. There are numerous ways to balance with this as an option. For example, make a Commando variant an ECM only and a Raven variant ECM-J only--the extra slots and weight helps balance the 10 ton advantage of the Raven. It's not alot but every bit helps in the lights. So what do you think?

Two ECM pods
Guardian ECM=Not blocking SSRMs
Angel ECM=Blocking SSRMs

That's what it is in *gasp* TT.

Right now we are playing Angel ECM for the price of Guardian!

I like it the way it is. The real problem still is hit detection.
