They hire the same actress, used the same voice filter and everybody know that is the Glados Voice. So you are telling me they didn't do this by purpouse?

Well it might be as close as we will ever get to a movie...Of Course Robotics and Tech are moving Crazy fast right now so you never know... we may have RL Mechs at the end of our lifetimes...Look at Cellphones for example not to long ago people would have though those would be Science Fiction.IE... Star Trek communicator (Of course Smartphones do alot more than communicators could do even surpassing what Gene Rodenberry thought possible)

Nope, they did do it on purpose. I'm just saying, just because one movie has morgan freeman in it doesn't mean another can't.

I know, I know... Rule of cool and all... same reason why the mechs in MWO have fingers I suppose, since there's no way of moving them from the cockpit.

You actually can copy right the voice/sound. Musicians do it with their music and is why once in a while you will hear about a lawsuit of X artist ripping off Y artists songs.
Of course if they didn't copyright, or they are paying them for the use. Well then it's still being owned, just selling it's use.

I'd watch an actually mechwarrior movie, or better yet tv series. If done right with good story/special effects, no scifi original BS

Never send a Giant Robot to do Gamera's job.............Unless its Mecha-Godzilla, then that might be ok.

Yeah, you can sue someone for infringing on something you took part in, but in this case, you have the voice actor(equivalent to a band's singer) being the one which is doing the same voice for something else. Are you saying that the band can sue these people for the singer working for them? It's not like they have an exclusivity contract, if they did they could sue, but otherwise no.

Its not easily like that when the voice resembles a specific character.
