What The Hell Is Going On?

I then realised he was afk. He must have crashed after taking a little damage and retreating from combat.
So...i thought this is a good time to try something.
My weapons on my K2 (x2 ERPPC's and x2 ML's) never seem to do much damage, and now i had a slightly damaged practice dummy right in front of me.
I aimed at his ct from about 350m away (i was behind a building hidden from the enemy). It was already damaged (yellow armour) and i counted how many shots it would take to kill him.
I fired twin ERPPC's 5 times, with 4 ML shots between each ERPPC shot.
So, that's 10 ERPPC hits, and 18 ML hits (He died on the 18th ML hit).
His paperdoll showed that all ML shots hit only the ct, but a couple of the ERPPC shots also damaged his right torso.
18 ML shots = 90 damage.
10 ERPPC shots = 100 damage.
Even with the couple of ERPPC shots hitting the side torso how can he (especially considering the ct was yellow from the start) possibly survive around 190 damage?
Seems like something is very wrong with either ERPPC damage, or my mech

Bright yellow armor is minimal damage - he may have taken just 1 or two points worth.
If a couple of your ppc shots also missed his center torso... you may have dealt a lot less than the 190 damage points. Which a heavy mech could just survive.

Ah yeah, forgot about the ML range
Still, seems like pitiful damage output when my K2 always gets cored within seconds of a close range fight. Of course the ERPPC heat doesn't help when you can rarely fire the things.

If you love the ppc and want to do some serious damage, try running 4 of them in a k2.
Its possible. And it may run hot but a 40 damage long range alpha is nothing to sneeze at.
Of course you should try this only if you have confidence in your ability to aim.

lol run hot?
But no. The reason i'm not using a much more powerful ballistic K2 is because i refuse to put huge weapons in the torso's.
Plus i already have two weapons i can't use maybe about 20% of the time, i'm not adding more.

This is why I stopped using my K2, the cockpit is in the perfect position to get taken out with pretty much any torso shot. I loved it dearly but repeatedly going down with one shot got a bit frustrating.

No, it's just the hit detection and netcode being horrible.
Most likely, the person you were shooting at was actually 20 feet to the side somewhere and your client had no idea.
