How about at the end of beta, all members who are not Founders get upgraded to some other term. Perhaps: MechWarrior. Which would be obtainable for any person after beta who has kept an active account (at least 5 matches per month) for six months or who has accumulated enough XP to cross a predetermined threshold (perhaps 250,000 XP)?

There doesn't need to be "other" mentioned. The hint is in the "you will be called". There is no implication that it is me who is doing the name calling. Like I already said, you are reading too much into my post. You are making a wrong assumption. You cannot come here and tell me what I meant. I know better what I meant because I wrote it. You are in the wrong. Do not even try to argue this.

Oh please people. OP wants to be special and a bunch of warped founders think they are. Do yourselves a favor and alpha strike the loudmouths in the head. They won't be laughing so hard as you walk over their corpses, right?

Put your money where you mouth is and kick some ***. This game is about pawning mechs. Not showing flashy mech paint, although at 250 MC per color, PGI would have you think so. If someone is REALLY overly abusive, screenshot and report.

Otherwise, lock and load and watch them laugh from the grave.

Who says I have spent it all, I bought a few mechs, did a few other fun things, and saving a lot up for future hero mechs or whatever comes our way, but the money's out of my bank account either way of course. And a trial mech is - if I have a bad night and am playing like a wet blanket - even more profitable than a fully tricked out owned mech that keeps ending up destroyed. Even so, who cares, if I want to run in a trial mech, I do, I should not be cursed at for that reason.

It's not like I am gonna cry about being called names, I have been called far far worse, and am being called far worse on a daily basis. but I AM used to a much better overal decorum within the community for the games my employer has released (I work for a software/game dev in my country), and within the other communities I'm a part of.

This is exactly the kind of behaviour I mean. I am not looking to be 'special'. What is special about spending money? I am saying, why do people in this community seem to be attacking each other so much based on spending money at a certain time, or not spending money at all? And I suggested one little way that might prevent a few cases... but I get more flames than proper feedback. You are a good example again too. I don't care about status, I care about a nice gaming experience with nice folks without the same kind of things that have driven me from so many mainstream fps games in the past.

But think what you like, it's a free web.

Also, I don't give a flying [censored] how much someone has spent on a game. I only treat them like an a**hole if they act like one. (This includes, but is not limited to: constant 'friendly fire', suiciding, and trolling. I also ignore the trolls. But I don't mind if my lasers track across them as much as I would if I hit a helpful teammate.)

Suggestion: Write what you mean clearly since I or others cannot communicate with you in person to know how you truly mean something. I was not the only one who thought this - several others I know thought it as well. Therefore, I am not alone in my (mis?)interpretation.

Sure - I can't tell you what you mean, but I certainly can tell you how you came across. As for reading into your post, no - I was reading your post as written. I can't help the fact it wasn't clearly written to express what you were wanting to say...
