- PGI should create their own mech variants. Some mechs simply don't have enough good or possible variants in canon to be in the game. (IE Raven, Jenner)

- Increasing the cost of paint schemes but making them an inventory item like bobble heads. It would sell more in the long run because a person is more willing to buy something they can keep once instead of something that will need to be renewed. Being able to keep the item adds a since of ownership to it that is important for generating profit.

- Making Conquest in to an actual mode instead of TDM with a twist. There needs to be rewards for capping points and doing other things besides just killing. More reward for capping and possibly mech respawns (since their is no repair/rearm anyway) would be a great way to emphasize the capping.

- Renaming "Assault" to "Dropship Death match" or something of the like. Assault should be the name of a different game mode that should actually involve assaulting in an attack/defend style.

- Giving information on where PGI is thinking about heading with the game. This recent economy change was very alarming since no information was given as to whether or not is permanent, for testing, to be tweaked or what.

- Bringing back repair and rearm, maybe making it something for more skilled players or an optional feature for those of us that wanted the realism. RnR made the game feel more like a mech simulator than a person with a lot of guns on his hands.

Merry Christmas

Edit with new ideas

- A way to balance streaks: Make them have to leave the port and give them an actual projectile pattern instead of making a B Line no matter where they are fired from a mech. This might not solve a lot, but it would definitely help if mechs couldn't fire streaks and hit even when they can only see the target mech out of peripheral vision.

- Some sort of buff for small pulse lasers, they are marginally better than small lasers, but not enough to justify the increase from smalls in most cases. Also, as far as tonnage goes, they should be a medium between small and medium lasers.

1) Eh, naw. Stick to the lore at least for mech types/variants

2) Fukyeaaaaaa I would be all over that like white on rice.

3) Conquest was just introduced and while the fact that theres no incentive to cap bases and feels like there was no thought put into it just give it time sine there are plenty of people commenting on this already. Some people forget this is still beta.

4) Assault is fine they just need to add some sort of objective based reward for capping again.

5) They gave heads up and as a game dev its their property, so in reality no even if it would be nice. Also as you should know if you have any significant life experience that plans change as contexts change.

6) It should be 0% or 100% for this. Either we have it or we dont because if they go with what youre suggesting then youre essentially asking them to develop 2 games in the place of 1. Sure they can cut and paste things between each version of the "normal" and "hardcore" modes you suggest but the differences in code can result in errors when patches come out and interaction of new features with the differences in code. From their standpoint this idea would just increase their operating costs substantially so im sure if you were to get a direct reply they would tell you to stuff it, politely that is.

A few good points tho.

I'm only addressing this point because the other seem to be valid counter arguments or replies I have nothing to say about.

Have you looked at the other variants for the Raven? The only other two possible ones is a 4x MG array raven (SR) and a energy raven with a SSRM6 that comes out in 3068. If they plan to stick to lore, certain mechs are going to be fairly barren in terms of variants for the next 15 or 20 years then.

They've also already started doing this with their creation of the Ilya. While that is a hero mech and just a custom variant, it is a necessary step for their business model and for the sake of the game.

Yeah when i said stick to the lore i didnt mean dont release mechs from the future sooner i just meant that we shouldnt create new variants that didnt exist in the lore.

I really hope that they decide to squash this 1:1 temporal ratio and allow some of the cooler variants and mechs in the next years of this game :)
