Why is it a tiny little shell that does 2 damage shakes my Mech like it's being hit by a train every quarter of a second?

Just curious.

Its not that bad i had some guy last night spaming dual AC-2's at me i just turned around and put 2 AC-20 rounds in his face.

The shake is not to bad once you get use to it and given there low damage most of the time you can take it and still return fire at all but like 500m+

It's been like that for a long time now. That's why dueling AC 2's are so good.

He obviously wasn't doing it right. Also try quad AC/2s double-chainfiring. It's basically impossible to see let alone aim let alone shoot back.

I'm not sure why it's taken them 6 months to tone down the impulse factor on one weapon.

once you realize that teh shake is only twitching your cockpit and view and not your aiming reticule then you can see it as just a huge annoyance and still put some rounds or energy on the target, but i agree some impulse effects ned to be toned down and some need to be boosted

2 ac/2 doesn't give much of shake really, but 3 or more, properly chain fired can make it impossible for you to aim you ac/20's (or anything else for that matters).

it boils down to the player skill to maximize the shake when attacking and minimize the shake when taking fire.

but i agree that the ac/2 shake should be a little smaller, cause its dps it's monstruous in a proper build.

nuff said dagger. i hope they add torso twisting as a side effect of ac/20 fire like in MW4. a huge shake or a minor torso twist in a proper shoot of ac/10 could be good too.
