Oh yes dashing, I already have a loop of the Tachikomas doing that in my mind. I love Battletech for well being Battletech. I still doesn't mean that I don't love my Gundams and other mecha either.

Homeworld is a lot like Battlestar Galatica, right guys?

Haha, homeworld is a lot like BSG. I dont think any BSG game, even diaspora comes close to being as wonderful as homeworld 2. Sigh I miss that game. After Mechwarrior that would have probably been my second choice for a new one. The annoying part is the company who made it still freaking owns it and makes great games! stupid relic.

Relic has had the license on Homeworld for at least 3 years now. Dawn of War and Company of Heroes paid the bills in the mean time and I believe CoH 2 is their next core project.

Yes, I still hope for Homeworld 3.

I am NOT locking this thread, but because it's a discussion about a variety of games, and not specifically a MechWarrior: Online General Discussion, I'm moving it to the Off-Topic forums. The Community Moderators have been instructed by the Staff to perform this kind of thread relocation. They want the MW:O General Discussion to be just that, MW:O discussion, whereas our "general discussions" about other games and comparisons of other games to MW:O should go down to the Off Topic area because it's not specifically on the topic of just MechWarrior: Online. Thanks for understanding.

I'm still trying to figure out why everyone thinks it's binary and you can't enjoy both games. I like have a MechWarrior game and something a hair more speedy when I'm in the mood for it. I won't throw the same amount of money on Hawken, but it feels like people saying you can't enjoy Street Fighter 4 or King of Fighters 13 if you enjoy Marvel vs Capcom 3. I also wish we would quit describing MechWarrior as the only way a mech game could possibly be implemented. It is the best way to do a MechWarrior game, but MechWarrior is not the only type of mech series in the world, and different interpretations are allowed last time I checked. Going back to the analogy I made earlier, it's not like every fighting game has to play exactly like Street Fighter 2/4 to be a fighting game.

Right you are, Skull Girls proved this quite well.

and interesting thread dead due to stupid politics. Well at least there will be more room for whining about nerfing X and buffing Y. Gotta have room for those.

Hawken is a very good game.

It certainly isnt Battletech, I wonder why everyone keep bringing it up. It has always been described as a twitch-shooter but for what its trying to do, it certainly achieved them far better than MWO has at this point of time. Its not exactly CoD either, its has much more deliberate pacing rather than just zooming/jumping/strafing around and kills everyone in less than 1 sec.. (funny how some tries to degrade the game as such, light ECM mechs in MWO, anyone?)

As someone said, Hawken isn't a ****** game. Its a different game that is very well made.
