game installed, patch completed, press the blue 'Play' button and i immediately get a 'MWOClient.exe - System Error' that says 'The program can't start because XINPUT1_3.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem'.
tried reinstalling, nothing. tried new download & patch, nothing.
checked and that file does exist. it's in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application'
MWO is in the 'Piranha Games' folder in 'C:\Program Files (x86)'
any ideas?

thanks eternalcore, it worked. that's probably an obvious thing to a lot of people but, there's a lot of things i don't know. I can't get any of my lame old friends to play tabletop battletech anymore, like the old days. so i've really been looking forward to this.

Now, if someone could make a table top version that looks and acts like Mechwarrior Tactics, that would rock. A computer system to do most of the calculations as well as the visibility of different elevations and solid game pieces...

/gets smack on back of head...

ouch.. /rubs tender spot..

Hai, samurai never really grow up, their toys get more expensive....
