If you don't know what Toonami is, it is the BEST place to see all the good toons and anime!
It sported such shows as:
Gundams,
Robotech,
Reboot,
Dragon Balls,
Astro/Robot Boy,
Thundercats,
GIGANTOOOOOOR!
Code Lyoko,
YuYu Hakusho,
Rurouni Kenshin,
Voltron,
Trigun,
and that's just a few.

If you remember good old Toonami, then you know to check in on May 26th. Who knows what their line-up will be, but Toonami is back!

Here is the Adult Swim site: http://www.adultswim...nami/index.html

Stay Gold, Toonami Fans.

Perhaps I missed Sailor Moon on purpose. >__>
YuYu Hakusho was cool, though.
I added all but Sailor Moon to the list. hahaha.

Nice! That was definitely the best part about Cartoon Network, and being on Adult Swim means they can curse and show gore (moreorless)! That was the only flaw before.

On a side note, does anyone else think today's generation of cartoons is an LSD mindfuck trip? Here's lookin' at you Adventure Time.

Without getting into the time-honored (but HORRIBLY cliche) "Back in my day, cartoons were good", I HAVE honestly tried to give "the ol college try" and watching today's cartoons and see if they are any good.

They simply are not. There's just no other way of putting it. There's no story. No character. No writing. No plot. No theme. Everything is about over the top ADHD-esque imbecillery. There's so much nonsensical idiocy that it seems that they're competing for it like an Olympic Gold medal.

Looney Tunes, back in the day had some great stuff. I can remember Daffy screaming for a Taxi and then says "FOLLOW THAT CAR!" to which the taxi speeds off and follows it, leaving Daffy there (who turns to the camera and says "Keeps em on their toes!")

Or the Daffy and Elmer Fudd and Bug's skit.

Bugs: "Should you shoot me now or shoot me later?"
Daffy: "Now! Shoot him now!"
Bugs: "You stay out of this, he doesn't have to shoot you now."
Daffy: "Well I say he DOES have to shoot me now.... SO SHOOT ME NOW!"
*Elmer blows Daffy's bill off*

Classic. **edit** Found It.

As for the all-time best cartoon, hands down, it's Futurama. I also liked a show called "The Critic", starring Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman.

I happen to like Adventure Time. It's one of the only things I watch during the day on Cartoon Network. Perhaps I like it BECAUSE it's just random mindfuck stories.

I'm not saying at all that Adventure Time is a bad cartoon, didn't it win an Emmy? I'm just saying a lot of cartoons, at least on Cartoon Network, have taken this route following the success of Adventure Time. Some that come to mind right now are the pirate/sailor kid cartoon and the one where they bake/cook stuff and eat lots of ****. I only need one show with LSD mindfucks thank you.

On the other hand, a lot of good cartoons have gone rotten. Spongebob used to be clever, now it's just immature and bad slapstick humor.

On the other other hand, the new Avatar may be bring back the mature genre of cartoons of yesteryear.

The new Avatar does look good, but I have no idea when to catch it! I've only seen the first episode. It has Steve Blum voicing the bad guy after all!
