Nice! That was definitely the best part about Cartoon Network, and being on Adult Swim means they can curse and show gore (moreorless)! That was the only flaw before.
On a side note, does anyone else think today's generation of cartoons is an LSD mindfuck trip? Here's lookin' at you Adventure Time.

Without getting into the time-honored (but HORRIBLY cliche) "Back in my day, cartoons were good", I HAVE honestly tried to give "the ol college try" and watching today's cartoons and see if they are any good.
They simply are not. There's just no other way of putting it. There's no story. No character. No writing. No plot. No theme. Everything is about over the top ADHD-esque imbecillery. There's so much nonsensical idiocy that it seems that they're competing for it like an Olympic Gold medal.
Looney Tunes, back in the day had some great stuff. I can remember Daffy screaming for a Taxi and then says "FOLLOW THAT CAR!" to which the taxi speeds off and follows it, leaving Daffy there (who turns to the camera and says "Keeps em on their toes!")
Or the Daffy and Elmer Fudd and Bug's skit.
Bugs: "Should you shoot me now or shoot me later?"
Daffy: "Now! Shoot him now!"
Bugs: "You stay out of this, he doesn't have to shoot you now."
Daffy: "Well I say he DOES have to shoot me now.... SO SHOOT ME NOW!"
*Elmer blows Daffy's bill off*
Classic. **edit**
Found It.
As for the all-time best cartoon, hands down, it's Futurama. I also liked a show called "The Critic", starring Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman.
