if it drops anymore i think the game wont even start. kkkkk

Had a error during last patch that send my PING and fps rate to hell. after reinstalling the game, the ping went back to where it was, but the fps didn't fully recover.

constant drop from 23 fps to 14 in heavy firefights CAN screw you. especially when you have that headshot alpha on an overheated hunchie lined up.

I put no. I would have prefered an option that said I won't quit the game, but I may take a break or something.

I can lower a few more settings and still get some enjoyment from the game, but I'd rather not have to. I always have the option of playing on my gaming desktop, but it's upstairs and I like playing on my laptop because I can be around my wife and next to the fridge

No. My FPS is fine except when that FPS bug pops up like 1 in 10 matches where I can't even move or target. Freakin fix that as it is annoying.

No, because I usually have 55 - 60 FPS and if it drops down to 45 or so it still would be playable.

It's not an "if" performance drops, it's a "how much" does performance drop.

I'm gonna keep TRYING to play this until I literally can't.

Oh no, I'll go from 60 (vsync) to 60 (vsync)!

I built my computer in late 2011 for BF3. It has more than enough power for this game.

Upgrade your 2007 model toaster.

This is a non sequitur. Quit? Does it mean you will never come back when (or if haha) it gets fixed? Just take a break n go play something else. Well you can try Hawken. I tried it. N.......I missed my lasers n PPCs (even if their hitbox code are not perfect right now). Generally in Hawken you only have 2 weapons at a time on ur mech. N grinding is about the same to get a new chassis.

What if i have a mid-high end computer and get the same FPS (~15-20) at low and high settings? What then?

60 fps in a brawl? Doubt it. To get close you need to overclock a sandy/ivy bridge close to 5 Ghz. Even then it doesn't quite cut it. This game has serious performance problems. Without overclocking you'll have to settle for dips to ~35 fps in big brawls.

People always complain about bad fps but dont post their specs.

AMD quad core 4.2GHz
Sapphire 6850
16gb DDR3 RAM (upgraded from 4GB when i started having issues in MWO with zero change)
120GB SSD (with 30GB free)

My computer plays every other game I have tried on it at 80FPS or better even in blobs of 50+players spamming AOE with graphic on ultra i never drop under 60, In MWO I get 14-20 in combat and just north of 30 when running around doing nothing. In closed beta I got 60FPS running around and 40 or better in heavy combat.

MWO only uses 65% of my CPU and 61% of my GPU that is the HIGHEST usage not the average usage.

Sorry but its not my low-end CPU or GPU its MWO causing the problems.

I voted yes, because if it gets any worse it will not be playable.

hmmm...i tend to agree with the game being the problem. its hard to optimize your rig for a game that isnt optimized yet. i have a phenom ii X4 975 and 2gb 7850 and 8gb of ram and max out at a constant 30 FPS on max settings while my cpu and gpu load isnt even 50%. hang in there guys, the good times are a comin

haven't seen a frame rate drop at all.

I get 24 to 35 usable FPS.
My rig isn't a joke as it can play both Crysis 1 and 2 on max settings and get 45 to 60 FPS.

Athlon2 quad core. OCed to 3.2 ghz
8 Gigs of 1600 (when it was factory speed) DDR3 ram (which has also been OCed)
GTX 460 1gig+ graphics card. Which was Factory OCed.

There is no reason why we should keep getting fps drops, let alone why the FPS should be so low in this game even after a reinstall (2 now actually), especially since Crysis 1 and 2 both make this game look like a Playstation 2 game by comparison.

It doesn't matter if I set everything to low, or high, or very high. My frame rate is about the same. Actually on low it's some how worse. (go figure) So I play on High. Because I get like 2 or 3 fps more on average with High, vs medium or very high.

Will I quit? No, but it'll definitely discourage me from buying anything else with Mech Creds or activating my premium time for that matter.

I run a laptop setup and have never had an fps bug, getting 35 to 50 fps dependent on what's going on onscreen and whether or not I'm recording. Never had the fps bug. The game is also currently running on max graphics. GTX 570m, i7-2769QM, 12 gb ram.

I have the same RAM, a better CPU and GPU and can no longer run max settings above 35 FPS and the average on high has dropped to high 20's low 30's FPS. Are you running the game on a SSD? Because that's the only place for improvement assuming you're running the latest drivers from Nvidia?

If by "quit" you mean "wait for them to optimize the game so I can play again" then yes, I will "quit". Quitting implies not coming back though, and I doubt many will quit forever over a temporary issue.

It seems like people suffering performance issues are also suffering from "computer Dated'ness" My computer isn't super new or top of the line,

i5 2400k,
16GB RAM (which cost all of 140$ across 2 years
500GB HD (primary, at 7400rpm)
Geforce GTX 560 ti

And I get really pretty good fps on HIGH setting, peaking at 60, averaging around 48 in heavy brawl.

So know i will not quit if the fps drops because i'm a very middle of the road system for 2012 and the game performs fine. (aside from occasional mechlab client crashes :-))

Well, if it drops 5fps then I would end up with between 5 and 15 in forest, 10 to 20 in the rest. So... 15 is normal, 10 was my previous average (is still playable) but 5 is a pain unless I go LRM.

Still won't give up after coming so far. Perhaps changing my mechs to be mid-long range instead of brawlers. Then wait for the next patch with a single tear running down my cheek.
