Hi Guys, i hope you can help me.

When i start Mechwarrior it starts the MWOPatcher it shows the little screen and then it does nothing any more.

I tried reinstalling the Game to a different Hard Drive, there it starts the MechwarriorOnline.exe and shows the splash screen and then also does nothing the spals screen stays on the desktop no matter what you do!

Can someone please help me?

Kind regards
App

Same problem here.
After running for half an hour, the task self-terminated for the first time.
Maybe someone can make heads or tails of this.
Yeah, german client.

Same here. Game was working fine, then crashed to desktop at start of a game. Ever since then the game won't start. I've rebooted the PC and stopped running any other apps, but all that happens is the MWo icon appears on the taskbar and then disappears, but MWOPatcher.exe is still listed as running in the Task Manager.

Is there any way to force a file check with this game, by adding a switch to the starting executable or am I out of luck and need to uninstall and reinstall? I've not changed anything and the game has been working all day, so I assume it's the game that has done something stupid to itself.

Install the program from the following link and retry

http://www.hotspotshield.com/

If it doesn't run I have no further ideas

I tried it and it just worked. As strange as it sounds.
Many thanks to you! :-)

The problem may be solved...

just create a link to the file

"C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32\MWOClient.exe"

on your desktop and to work with you only have to put

'-nopatch'

behind it. It should look like:

"C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32\MWOClient.exe" -nopatch

It did help me. Maybe it works for you too B)

That worked for me! At least I can play the game now. I'll worry about a new patch come tomorrow. Thanks again!

Of course the path depends on where you have installed the game.
My backup-client (when the patcher won't work) e.g. is

"G:\Spiele\MechWarrior Online\MechWarrior Online\Bin32\MWOClient.exe" -nopatch

Just find the client.exe in your Bin32-directory, copy/paste it's path to the shortcut and add the -nopatch.

I have no MWOClient.exe, I have MechWarriorOnline.exe. "-no patch" not working for me. Error occurs: "MWOPatcher.exe cannot be run directly. Please use MechWarriorOnline.exe"

I had to employ this nifty trick today. I think the issue arises when they skip patch day, the patcher expects a new patch when there is nothing to be found.

Same Problem here...Patcher downloads about 2GB Game Data and closed without any message...
Of Course, at first run.

I dont use the standard path. It´s installed on seperate game partition (D:\MWOnline\)
Don´t know if this matters...

Okay, extracting downloaded "patch" file manually looks like it works...
