I recently added an AMS plus ammo and it shows it on my hardpoints with my mech but when I go into battle, it's not on my weapons list. How do I get it there?

You can't.
It's an automated system.
As long as it has ammo it will fire.
Even if it will give away your position to the enemy.

It should be on the bottom of his weapon list though showing the ammo count down when fireing. You just can not select it or operate it in any way.

From the post, it seems that the issue might actually be putting in the Ammo BUT didn't put in the AMS system itself...
