I cover a lot of games for a certain gaming company to do reviews and this one hit my radar.... at first I was like hell yeah.
Then I got into my first game and was like "uh ok that was quick"....
I have played several matches and they seem to be very very extremely lop-sided in most circumstances.
As a new person to MW and after several games I have already lost interest, I do not usually get bothered with a grind. After all I have done it a billion zillion times, but after a "grind" you usually have something to look forward to. Here there seems to be no such thing besides getting a mech and still having some lump of more work to do before really getting to accomplish anything.
I do not post my opinions on how a company should do their job, I review games as a new player who comes in and what to expect as well as how much fun they can have or how long it will be before getting into the real fun.
Here is an example: In WoW when you hit max level you get to do a lil bit more work, but very soon after hitting max level you get to go into heroic dungeons. Huge keyword there on "VERY SOON AFTER".
World of Tanks, you move up the tier list of the tank you want. You achieved something going through the grind of the list to get the tank you want. Yes it is a grind, but in the end you know what your goal is.
My opinion....
1) There seems to be no real "goal" besides getting a mech when you get the credits, but still have more work to do because you have to load it with additional stuff.
2) LONG HUGE Grind where no clear goal what you get at the end.
3) Very easy to lose focus on what it intended.
4) The matching making system is very off, fights are often over so quick I feel like I am playing a very clunky version of Halo with no respawn.
Just my 2 cents.... I could be wrong. But keep in mind this is just from a person who has just joined the game and has been playing the last 2 days & I already have lost interest.
I am hoping with this post there can be a little bit more clarification, and the mods can do something to correct the situation.
