my best kills where in my cat with dual ac/20.. on frozencity in the tunnel...a cat ran into my and i one shoted him with a headshot, then an awesome was behind, also onshot to the head..and at the tunnel exit stands another cat..and again oneshotted with an head shot... they called me cheater and so on
they were all standing still, so it wasn really hard to hit their heads.

but my most satisfying kill was a jenner.. the lag shield was strong with him..and he cylced me a couple of times, stripping my armor with lasers and streaks... but then i finally fioud the spot where his hitbox really was...dual-ac/20 to his torso and he was laying death beneath me. that was a really good feeling

First cockpit kill with a gauss rifle was sweet (from across the pond in forest colony, using thermal I only saw heat sparks and pieces flying from a gausscat and it toppled over)

Nowadays I get plenty of nice kills after I've gotten used to my Cata-3D (2 UAC5, 2LL, 2MPL), some more worth remembering than others.
I've styled my 3D black with red accents, and recently I dropped into river city and saw an enemy 4x or 2x with almost the same paint scheme. I snapped and thundered after him. He was a bit under fire, and I suspect not very experienced and/or not used to the mech and loadout, as he was strafing between buildings by the big bridge. When he saw me coming, he paused for a second and started to boot around the corner.
I swung around the building and saw him almost cowering against the wall, and started to cycle-fire UAC5-round into him. The lasers melted his armor and my cannons blasted off the components. He staggered away and tried to run, and I gave my guns one last alpha, blowing him to pieces 30 meter away from me just as I overheated and shut down.
It was my cleanest 1-on-1 engagement, and I really felt the fear in the other pilot.
He didn't deserve those colours.

Back in the day when there are a lot more newbies, it was fun going to a border and standing just inside the battlefield and snipe people from there until a light come by a try to shoot you in the back, and then they learn to respect the map boundaries.

Getting called away from the computer for some reason and apologizing to team for going afk.
Powered down on the far east ridge of caustic.

Came back just as my last teammate died in a 3 on 1. Powered up and killed a jenner, HB and a cat to win for the team.

There is something to be said about leaving someone in a striking mech for reserves.

the great part is that people where sht talking me because I was AFK (hey real life comes first) and then they were cheering me on as I cleaned up the mess left over.

Yea, I had a similar one Gregore, I was in a 4mpl Jenner and had to step away so I powered down away from trouble (match had already gone on for about 2 minutes or so). I get back and it's 4 kills to 6 and I see 3 mechs off to my right chasing my last friendly (a cat). Off to my left I see an enemy cat who hadn't noticed me so I trot over and his CT is yellow, a few blasts take care of him. The other 3 mechs are still chasing my catapault friend so I go after the one furthest behind, turns out he's a hunch with orange crit armor exposed, one alpha into him takes him down. A centurion and an awesome are left with my catapault ducking in and out of buildings ( frozen city) so I rush over and start on the catapault, he's got exposed back armor as well but he notices me and is doing a good job of protecting it, his front armor is still orange/yellow. I notice however his head is crit yellow and get right up in his face and get all my lasers to headshot him. At this point it's just the Awesome left and he's tunnel visioned on the catapault and obviously a newer player as he doesn't seem to mind me boring through his back armor (he was relatively untouched) while he chases the catapault.

I've never had a run quite so deadly as that, but I've had some fun ones like killing atlas with 1 leg etc.

Knocked a Jump Jetting Jenner out of the sky with a Gauss Shot (from my old Gauss Raven). He exploded like a smokey firework and came crashing down. Such a sweet kill. It happened before CryEngine 3.4 when the net code was a bit better. I'm not sure I could pull that shot off now.

Runner up... Had my Cat A1 with 6 SRM4s. One Shotted a full health Raven. Must have sent all 6 launchers worth of missile to his head. He was running straight at me, so it wasn't good strategy on his part.

My best moments? One was the first killed Atlas with my Jenner - merely an accident than real skill, but I was quiet happy with it. The second moment was in River City (again with my Jenner), I was scouting forward through the City and had bad luck because the enemy was coming my way. I was alone and so my armor was pierced and AC + LRM hid my vision... I decided to shut down because my death was sure. But... after I shut down they only fired one or two lasers at me and moved on obviously thinking that I was dead. I could see the whole parade of the enemy through my cockpit and couldn't believe it. I waited some seconds after they were gone and then restartet the machine. Later they killed me and we lost the match - but the experience was worth it.

Its hard to pin down just one kill, there are a lot of good moments when you get a satisfying kill or several for that matter. I guess if I had to pick one it would be foreset colony, I was in my Commando-2D standard weapon config, no streaks. I was being chased by two Hunchbacks, the lead hunchback legged me and I whipped around and put a medium laser shot center torso, he exploded, the trailing hunchback paused in his pursuit, which allowed me a final FU of one medium laser, one SRM 4, and one SRM 6 to the face before he cored me. I always imagine the utter look of astonishment on the Hunchback pilots face that he just got cored by one medium laser from a commando he just legged for ez kill.

I get good kills now and then, but the best one lately was playing my ECM Raven with Lagshield and trading hits through the open hull of the space ship in Frozen City with an Atlas. He didn't want to have to move, and I kept popping up and tapping his chest - tapping - tapping - tapping. Eventually their team pushed up and killed someone, then fell back. I couldn't help but note the Atlas I was picking on had a bright red CT and no armor left.

He thought he had safely retreated and was falling back.

I darted through the crack, ran in front of him, and in full view of his entire team, ripped his heart out. As he crumbled to the ground I ran like a wild goose back through the crack and survived to tell the tale.

Cheap and mean, but amusing.

I do look forward to a day when I can't do things like that with near-impunity.

My most recent one is a streak of kills.
Me in my Cicada 2A on frozen city night with 3 others on comms, who all died early. I scored 2 kills in the opening brawl, the enemy killed my lancemates and 3 of our pugs, last ones left were me and someone in a trial awesome.
I take out the most heavily damaged enemies, after that me and the other guy both focus on the same enemies, fighting them one at a time. He attacks the front while I go for the rear, a few minutes later there were 6 dead enemies on the battlefield with no more enemies in sight. We go for the cap and I take out a lone afk, the last enemy never even showed himself. I got all the kills, but I couldn't have done it without the others, especially the awesome pilot. If we had found the last one I would have let the awesome have the kill out of respect. You sir, are awesome. ( And a great distraction. :) )

Several days ago I bumped into an Atlas at close range on the hilly portion of river city. Ran away in my 2ppc+gauss cat. After several tries, hit him in the eye with an alpha while both of us were on the move from about 200 meters. Only moving headshot of an Atlas I've ever done. Thought I was dead so I didn't record it :)

My most satisfying kill? The latest one...

If I had to pick a single one though, it would be me in an Atlas fighting the only other guy left, who was in a Catapult. He had LRMs, and I was heavily damaged. It was a cat and mouse, trying to use cover to move close while he ran faster than me and tried to get to missile range. We traded shots for several minutes while spectators cheered us on. I had red central torso, so any volley could finish me. It came down to me making a lucky guess which way he went around a hill and finishing him with two large lasers to the back.

There was a match where a Dual Gauss K-2 was the only remaining guy on the other team, facing 6 of us FWLM guys.

This is on Forest Colony, and the guy leads us into the Ravine and sets up inside the little concrete tunnel.

And proceeds to pick us off one by one, until only I, in my SRM Commando, am still alive.

During the fight, I had got behind him but just couldn't do enough damage - I'd shoot him, he'd kill one of us and turn to look at me, I'd hide, rinse repeat.

Once it was just me and him, ran to their base, he followed not long behind. What followed was an epic 2 or 3 minutes of me dodging his Gauss shots (and he was good, was nailing me on the move even.) He takes out a torso right before I managed to land the killing blow to cheers from my teammates (who had been frantically cheering me on, dreading defeat, and offering unasked for driving instructions while this happened.)

--

Other than that, I don't recall the specifics, but there have been a few close matches I credit myself as having saved with a well-timed (if a bit lucky) head shot :)

My most satisfying moment was a match in witch that I did not do the killing!

Setting: River city

Time: Day

I was running my scout, I was scouting into lower city when BLAM! ERPPC Cicada alphas and takes off my leg in one shot! After he comes out of shutdown he finishes me off. Now, I am a Sad Susan at this point, dying two minutes into the match is not going to make anyone's day.

It was then that I went to spectate a teammate who had the yellow screen. He could not see when his streaks were locked, when his lead was right. I proceeded to be his targeting system, telling him when he had lock, when his lead was right for his lasers. It was crazy! We ended up winning the match and the teammate I was working with got two kills and three assists!

I would add a kill that my team mate got; I remember it well, because he killed me.
I was in a badly hurt catapult, my head was deep red, when somebody ran into me and dropped me to the ground. As I was trying to get up, my team mate just walked over me with his Atlas and crushed my cockpit beneath his feet. (Those were the days of collisions)
