Question
I know if you complete a Mech tree for A Variant (requires 3 different variants) and if you sell that Variant, if you decide later to buy it back, you 'retain' the mech tree previously earned for it. Or, at least, that is how it works currently.
SO, if I have maxed out the trees on say my Catapults, and I want to buy another K2 or C1 or whichever variant (doesnt matter), WILL the additional (yet same as existing) variant have a completed tree?
Multiple Same Variants

yes
It is per variant and not per mech.

Have you tried this?
I was thinking about buying another K2. laser boat / gauss boat then maybe an AC20 boat...
I would not mind the Tree Grind, but if it comes with it since I already did them all to masters, then whooo hooo, all the better..!

I own 6 Dragons, only had to do the XP once for each variant, so the first response to your question is correct.

If we get the ability to see what map we are going to prior to dropping, I will buy more than one of some variants. Until then, it's a guess what the terrain and temp will be.
