Ok, I've spent a few weeks on this game and finally don't consider myself a total noob anymore. One thing I've learned after eliting Jenners, Dragons, and Cataphracts, is the precarious balance of weapon choice versus heat capacity.

It's a tricky balance, because we are all prone to uncontrollable instances of rage where we expend all our weaponry at once only to trigger the failsafe shutdown and die as the enemy pounds our lifeless mech into pieces of hot slag.

So, I highly suggest to the designers of Trial Mechs, please, please, create heat-efficient designs!

It'll be a much better experience for new pilots to be able to shoot lower damage weapons continuously without overheating than to die a horrible death time after time by overreacting on the trigger. Once the new pilots get their own mech and access to the Mechbay, then they can learn restraint and balance heat capacity with their desired weapons. But to ask for new pilots to refrain from pressing the trigger button is a recipe for disaster, broken keyboards and angry consumers. Looking at the current crop of trial mechs, the average heat efficiency is 0.9! That's pathetic. I'd suggest a rating of at least 1.2 for all trials, maybe even higher.
