My raven got ecm with last patch, with next patch it will get ff again for the 0,7tons to spare on a cockpitcooler with lots of energydrinks in it and a greater ashtray. Maybe some fancy neontubes under its back or goldenlegs or other pimpstuff.

I started thinking how your Raven would be pimped out like Flavor Flav, and now I can't stop laughing at the thought of a Raven running around the field with a huge clock hanging off it's torso.

You give me a picture, it will take hours to pull it out of my head.

I could never get my repair bills high enough to cancel out any winnings. My cataphract 4x was only what...40,000 on the rearm?

You genius! There are other mechs/builds which cost more than your Cataphract. :)

So you think no one plays this game because it's fun.

No one plays this game for the sense of accomplishment when they beat the enemies?

Basically you find the game play so hollow the only thing you enjoy is getting a mindless bump in c-bills after every mission.

Well i'm sorry you aren't enjoying the game..

The door is that way -->

First, you don't want to be showing me or anyone else the door if you want this game to survive.

Second, you didn't read my followup post. There are many different things that different types of players consider "fun".

"Killers" consider beating other players fun.
"Achievers" consider getting the highest score or getting unique achievements fun.
"Socializers" consider interacting with others fun.
"Explorers" consider finding out new places and things fun.
(and those are just the 4 main Bartle types, I didn't even include crafters or collectors)

MMOs need to have things that are fun for multiple types of players. This game is losing anything of interest to pretty much everyone except Killers. Losing RnR removes the economy, which makes Community Warfare pointless. Any sort of achievement system isn't planned until well after "official launch", which is after when they were planning for CW to be in. Once game systems become more solidified and baked in, people won't have much to "explore" besides new maps, if and/or when they are ever implemented (and because this game is a deathmatch game based on a fixed number of available maps, that's still few and far between).

Now, obviously I'm a statistical fluke, since PGI felt the need to remove RnR and redo how rewards work, and the stats they see must be the only reason they'd do that..right? They wouldn't kowtow to the pressure of the vocal minority on the forums screaming about how it's impossible to make any cbills in the game as it stands right now would they? Those same vocal few who actually belong in organized units and love to pugstomp...gotta love the twisted justice there.

You're good enough with your favorite ride to make money, but for every one of us good enough to be on the positive side of those stats and make money in the economy(without bonuses), there's someone who might not be because of their skill level or load out. The old bell curve at work...

I played a few rounds today and used a couple new rides I was unfamiliar with and performed poorly, I tried a few of my favorite rides that I'm highly effective with, and so far I don't think PGI is that far of the mark. Its possible that I won't make money quite as fast as I'm accustomed to, but I'm OK with that if it means newbies don't get left behind by the economy.

Things might need a little tweaking. I'm just giving an initial reaction to the economy, it'll take me a solid week of playing to be certain.
