I am sorry PGI, this is one of the worst flip-flops I have ever seen by you guys...

Q: Have you guys considered adding Coolant Pods to increase heat dissipation of a mech's heatsinks when used? [vayne]
A: Yes, we considered and then dropped the idea. We found it more of a crutch and lead to more issues than it helped with. If you're in a long, multi-targetted single player game, it makes sense. In a player vs. player environment you get a MASSIVE increase in firepower for no cost, or it wouldn't be enough to make a difference (IE. the match would never last long enough for you running out of coolant to matter, because you've already killed two people. Or, it doesn't even last a single fight, then why even have it?) Does that make sense? [Garth]

Not only did you guys say you want heat to matter and do not want to add Coolant Pods (I would even be find with Coolant Pod equipment, which takes tonnage and critical slots), you guys are adding it as a consumable???

I am dumb founded by the move.

The majority of the community does not want Coolant Pods. We have told you guys many times we do not want the old MW titles of just firing as fast as possible to get the kill, using all your coolant. Nobody wants this...

You should probably link what you're talking about, so that we know what you are talking about.

I also think it is a step in a bad direction as it also give Paid Consumable more power than the non-paid. That is a step into paid to win that will lose me as player. Casual player may not care about Paid to win tactics, but this is Mechwarrior, a hard core game and most hard core player don't like paid to win mechanics.

Non paid consumable is less effective than the paid ones, and while you can combine the non paid to be just as effective, it cost you more slots.

The clear advantage of the MC bought version over the cbill version treads into water that gives me them feels.

Home Page: Creative Director's Update

Basically they've now created healing potions for MW:O. Game just died. Luckily they announced this before I wasted money on the Cicada Hero Mech.

The fact that MC and C-bill purchase different version is a rather slipper slope; especially when IMO the MC version is significantly better.

Looks bad, but I'll wait to see the implementation and their reaction to our reaction. So far PGI has been pretty good about responding to player criticizm.
