Or if you lose an arm, which contains heat sinks, does your heat efficiency go down for the rest of the match?

Yes. They can get damaged and destroyed but can be repaired.

Oh heck yes. And it sucks. A lot.
This is one reason to have single heatsinks... you can zombie better with HS in your legs.

Not sure actually, though it does appear that you can, since I often end up overheating very quickly when damaged.
