Indeed, using this build myself as well. Replaces 2 ML's for 2 Srm6's, I think that's a pretty awesome deal. I suppose this build for the 1X is good and if you already got it then might as well try to get the best out of it. But if someone is looking to buy a cataprach, get the 2X instead.

That definitely works on the 2X. You would need to reduce the engine to compensate and be careful with heat. Something like this?
1 AC20 3 ML 2 SRM6
I'm not a huge fan of standard SRM's myself but I can see how this would be effective.

I can't say I'm a fan of the 5 LL CTF-1X. It's not a bad mech at and if it works for you more power to you!

PPC's are fun - post speed buff they should be much better weapons than they are now.

Engine 275 Standard
18 Double Heatsinks
Endo Steel Structure
2x Large Lasers (in arms)
2x PPC's in Torso
Max armor except legs @ 51/60 each
It's not a close range brawler (though it can if needed), but works well @ mid range. The PPC's are very good, if you remember their minimum range, the ERPPC's were just too much heat. The large lasers work remarkable well in melee, with the occasional PPC thrown in when they drift out.

Very nice! A solid ranged hard hitter. I bet the recent PPC buff has been a major boon for you as well.

The only issue, and a minor one at that, is the range. This is overcome by careful piloting and using terrain cover until you can unleash immense amounts of damage.
Props!

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying! I'm still running this build to this day - not too bad for a nearly 6 month old build. Closing is definitely the hard part of using this mech right now with the present meta. It's agile enough though to pull it off plus running a standard engine lets you safely use your entire LT/LA as a shield with only a small loss of firepower.

This is my first Phract and it's the only build I run now. As I learn to hang back more and pick my fights, this thing wrecks center torsos and is very forgiving for a new player like me.
