I know I am. I was actually saving up for an Awesome when I read that today's patch would be releasing the new chassis. I've been wanting to try out an assault for a while but didn't really want to contend with the GIANT hitbox that is the Atlas.

Only thing I'm really worried about is how much the lack of arm tracking is going to hurt because of ears instead of arms. I think I've gotten too used to relying on my arm weapons a lot on my hunchbacks.

Still, it's another 5 tons of stuff in something that less bulky than an Awesome, so I'm happy.

This guy! Decided to buy some mc last night. Stalker will be my first big mech purchase other than my dinky raven I got from some cbills I scruffed out of games. Can't wait

Most definitely. Not sure how well it will pan out in teamplay but should at least be fun for lone wolfing.

Probably some variation of 4 large lasers and accompanying SSRMs or LRMs+TAG (don't forget a big fat TAG buff is coming today as well)

... I'm a sucker for every mech. Well, except the original Wyvern. Even I have my limits.

Joseph, if you can completely master out a mech in thirty minutes, I may want some tips.

Buy lots of MC. Use spare XP on other mechs, convert into GXP using MC. Proceed to purchase all skills for all mech chassis until you unlock master.

It's easy, use some MCs to convert an absurd amount of your favorite mechs Xp to general. Buy everything on each variant. If you have a few dozen g's it would take about five minutes

Definitely going to buy one or two. I think there's one with an XL engine that might be fun and survivable if the chassis has Catapult size side torsos. Already thinking of pairing a couple of the new fast PPCs for sniping with just the ears over a ridge with some SRMs for close in work.

I absolutely loved the artistic remake that they did for this puppy. Well, to be fair, I think that MWO has done a utterly fantastic job of upping the appearance of all the mechs. Said as a guy that owns all the TROs going back to the 80's and remembering some of the awkward designs. But the stalker just looks mean now and the perfect platform for my large lasers. And it may be the first mech I actually break down and paint.

I have 30 mil saved up for this day! The Stalker had been my favourite in Mechwarrior 2 Mercs and I can't wait to get my hands on one (or three) once again!

I have piloted every chassis the game has to over, since I joined the closed beta. Obviously, I will get me a stalker or three as well. In fact, I already have a build, ton for ton and crit for crit, for the 3F planned. I will look into the other variants though, before I make a choice on the variant I buy.
