The only thing that seems to be killing my jenners are streaks. Time and time again there will be some Commando, Raven or other light boating them that chases me relentlessly spamming the no-aim gauranteed hit easy mode missiles. How is this fun..?

Flame suit on.

I guess you have never encountered a Streak Cat in the Wild before? (Before ECM)

Seriously, if you encounter a SSRM user just run towards your nearest ECM Atlas or Raven or whatever....

"The only thing that kills your jenner?" i think that says it all....
Also try playing a larger mech that cant kill the jenner that constantly runs round and round with lag-armour and no collisions - how is that any fun? And rather than just flame you - have you also tried using cover to break missile-lock? Hang on - why am i trying to help a jenner pilot? i hate Jenners lol...

Don't worry, when collisions come back if I'm chasing you in my raven I'll just crash into you, knocking you down so the snipers on my team can 1-shot you while you're face down on the ground.

I assure you this will be even less fun for you.

Playing a Jenner-F you can mount 6 energy weapons. I see planty of Jenners running around with this setup getting kills and they are not stopped from using these weapons by ECM.

My Raven 3L is the only raven that can compete with the Jenner in speed. It has 3 energy hardpoints and 2 missile hardpoints. Even the Jenner-D has more firepower.

So, what is stopping you from using the Jenner-F and blasting that Raven or Commando with 6x MLas?

Could it be because they are near-impossible to hit much like you are when others aren't using streaks?

Easy-mode lag shielded mech pilot complaining about easy-mode missiles killing him. Working as intended.

Since open beta dropped, there has been an influx of nubs, naturally gravitating the easiest weapon. Hence, noobtube.

Enjoy it. When the netcode is fixed and collisions are back in you'll fondly remember the times when only Streaks could kill you.

Streaks are supposed to be anti-light weaponry. So, everything's fine here. But - don't you see your fault? I yourself said it: You only get killed by streaks. That should be changed. You should get killed by all kinds of stuff - not just streaks. But as of right now, in most occasions it is near impossible to hit a light mech with anything but streaks.

Or just to put it differently:
"The only thing that seems to be killing my heavier mechs are light mechs. Time and time again there will be some Commando, Raven or other light that chases me relentlessly without a chance for me to strike back at them (poor netcode and stuff). How is this fun..?"

I guess we don't even need collision for that to happen. The ability to actually hit lights will already change the whole issue a lot.

They're the only reliable method of killing 147kph lag-shielded lights. (although I've bagged my fair share of lights with my K2, it's certainly not easy)

Run with partners mounting ECM, or use your own SSRM to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Oh come on! You do know that keeping fire on one spot on a Scout with lazors or AC is (well for me anyways) extremely difficult? So what, because there is a weapon that can hit you it's a noob weapon? I so get worked up by posts like these. You don't want to get hit by SSRM's and your hunter is an slower mech, keep at 300 meters and shoot your lazors. Otherwise, deal with it!

SSRM's are part of this game (and this gaming universe), calling it a noobweapon is so bloody annoying. SSRM's has a spread, so it's not like you die extremely quick, well not unless you have paper thin armor (as in not max armor).

Waaarggh just needed to post this.

A slower mech by 5-10kph is still enough to chase me all the way home while hitting with every shot. One match i died in 4 salvos to the RT.
You're missing the point entirely.

Well as far as I know, SSRM have spread since one of the last patches. So not all missiles hit one area. But I can understand that's it not fun getting killed by them. Still part of the game and calling them noob weapons is just plain lame. We can't all be sharpshooters. Oh one more thing, it's fun for the people shooting them! ;p I love killing scouts with them.

Jenner pilot here. Streaks are fine. You just need to learn how to effectively pilot against them.
Lately, I've been running the -F with 6 ML's. It is very effective against any size mech, streaks or no.

The Jenner is the most maneuverable mech in the game right now.
If an enemy mech starts firing SSRM's then use the terrain to break the lock. If the enemy mech does not have jump jets then you have no excuse. Use your jump jets to go over terrain the other mech cannot. Were you caught out in the open? Then that is your fault for getting caught in the open.

If all else fails, run back to your team. What? You can't make it back? Then why did you get so far out ahead of your team in the first place? You will always run that risk if you don't kill off the other team's light mechs before you run out on your own.

These are the same questions I ask myself after any match that does not go as desired.

EDIT: Fixed spelling.
