From the description ferro upgrade requires 14 critical slots. I have endo already installed.

I've checked my mech and have exactly 14 Dynamic Structure Slots around the body.

However, I still can't apply the ferro upgrade - not enough slots? Why is this?

You need 14 "empty" slots.

The Dynamic slots are only there and "white" while you still have "empty" slots. When you fill a "white" dynamic slot it occupies a "empty" slot somewhere in your mech, thats why its called dynamic. They shift around while you still have "empty" slots.

I hope that makes any sense ^^

There will be a red description in the upgrade interface that will say why you can't get an upgrade. However, "dynamic structure slots" are actually filled criticals from the endo steel. You need 14 "empty" criticals to get ferro.

Ok now I get it, thanks for explaining. I don't have enough "empty" slots this means!
