Assault is the TDM mode from tomorrow onwards (no respawn of course, sorry CODFanboys!). No more capping. Points come solely from killing. Capping only in conquest mode.
Not quite true. We CAN still Cap, we just have to accept there is no profit in it. however if the intent of the player is to infuriate those who want TDM... Let the good times Troll!!!

I will gladly PUG with folks who still want to Cap on assault missions, AND to beat the stuffing's out of players that want a good fight. Cause i want the game to be fun for everyone not just one side.

Yep ... you can still cap ... I think it is actually necessary to end matches in case there is a bug or you can't find that powered down last mech on the map. However, the only reason to cap other than that is to grief the other team ... you waste both your time and theirs since based on what I have read both teams will make more cbills by engaging than by capping.
So ... after today .. TDM without respawn should be the standard play mode for Assault encounters.

Trust me, I won't be surprised to see capping removed completely in Assault mode after the patch... there's just no reason for their existence in Assault mode anymore with the advent of conquest mode.

I'd be down for TDM with respawns on one condition.
You can only respawn with mechs you own in your inventory. Once it's destroyed you can respawn with another mech in your owned inventory until your inventory is gone.
Once the match is over the winning team gets all that juicy salvage of all the mechs destroyed and the losing team gets nothing and has to pay RnR for all mechs in their inventory that are destroyed before they can deploy again in a new match.
QQ rage would rain from the heavens making victory that much sweeter.
