With talk of re-spawning in future game modes, I'd like to propose the re-deploy method.
Before starting a match where re-deployment could take place, I would, in the mech bay, selected the mechs to be fielded in the drop ship (this could be the 4 on the quick select panel, or different missions/maps would call for a specific number of possible mechs).
This way, instead of respawning in a miraculously repaired mech, you would re-deploy in another mech you brought with you (of course, all the mechs could be the same).
At the end of the match/mission, you collect your hunks of junk and bring them back for repairs.
So no respawning, re-deploy (thus thee shall be dubbed)!
Drop Ship Deployment (Not Re-Spawn)

Sounds great .
But first let's see PGI make a 16vs16 game mode or 32vs32 before thinking of "re-deploying ."
#On-Topic:
And as an addition to your OP , what about every match of this "game mode" , each player has the option to pick 3 mechs only in a option inside the MECHLAB .
EXAMPLE :
The order i pick :
1.CNT
2.CDA
3.CTP
i start with CNT , if that gets killed , then my CDA is deployed , and if that gets blown away , i redeploy in my CTP .
