I don't know if it has already been suggested or not but I was thinking about it and an idea I had that might balance out streak boats but not seriously impact mechs with only 1 or 2 streak systems is increase the required time to lock on for each streak system past 1 or 2 that you have. Could work the same for any missle boat really. The more systems you want to pack on a frame the longer your computer requires to lock them all on.

You don't think ECM gimps streaks enough? That's odd.

ECM only gimps streak boats if you don't bother to have a counter ECM on your side. Also, I've heard they intend to fix the Beagle Probe so it won't be completely countered by ECM so there is another possible option in the future. Not every chasis can mount an ECM so it can't be relied upon as a balancing mechanic. You're pretty much hosed if you're in a streak boat and there is a lot of ECM floating around with or without my suggested change. The only thing it would really impact are games were ECM isn't really much of a factor (whether it just isn't present, negated, ect...).
