Ever think that sound problems, let alone 7.1(which I will assume not that many use), are extremely low proirity?

well, I don't know if the sound department has crazy work to do on other stuff, but it shouldn't take that much time to fix this (judging from other posts, it's something that could be easily fixed)

Same Here, sound is working much better now, Betty is able to say full sentences now, let's say it's "playable" again, but some cracking, popping and stuttering is still present, some maps seem to be more affected than others, and it gets worse when there's a lot of action going on.

My Config:

Intel Core I5 2500k @ 3.3Ghz
4.0 GB RAM
Radeon HD 6850
Mobo Intel DH67BL
Audio Realtek High Definition Audio, Mobo Integrated.
Window 7 64 bits.

I'm Using just simple stereo speakers.

Let me know it detailed info about my config could be useful.

¿What can we do to draw attention into this subject, what about a pool?

Hey there, I got a similar setup for audio devices (realtek audio, stereo headphones)

It's also better for me aswell, hence why I no longer want a refund. My first game was on Forest Colony Snow and it's on that map that I get crazy crackle/stutter/incomplete sentences from BB.

But, on other maps, it's nice to hear BB make full sentences now.

edit: There's also a lot of crackle on River City... so any maps with water are causing the issue it seems

You might want to add what Graphics Level you are using. I've played around with a couple different settings (ie. low vs, high) and have noticed crackle and such at the High and Very High settings. I normally run all low, so not an issue on my end. But it's something that might make a difference. If you are running High, or Very High, try a round in Low, and see if it's still an issue for you. If you don't hear it in Low, might be worth mentioning here in thread.

I had the audio issues prior to this patch and post-BB, but I don't have them now. Really sorry to (pardon the pun) hear this wasn't solved for everyone, I feel your pain since I'm kind of an audiophile and PGI's audio failure was just that - a failure.

Hope it gets resolved soon, but considering they said this was the last patch of 2012, I doubt it'll happen, despite the ease with which it COULD have been fixed. Especially maddening considering they promised a fix in todays patch and apparently did not deliver. No shock there, sadly enough - it's all too easy to tell this is only the third game PGI has created.

I'll uninstall and reinstall the game, I'll play with graphics setting and I'll post back here in a few hours, thanks.

I had an issue before the patch, but now my issues with Audio are gone.

GREAT JOB PGI! You Really did knock out some bugs this last patch.

My Frame Rate is up to 60 from 35, my audio works again without that drone buzz in my ear, and noone in my unit has crashed since the patch!!!

Unbelievable... Nice Job.

Dude at this point the majority of the audio issues are fixed. If there is still this one guy, with a busted speaker on his computer bitching about it being PGI's fault, I really feel sorry for his stupid *** that he has to come on here and blame someone else.

PGI has really done a good job fixing the audio.

If you still have Audio issues, try buying a USB headset for 30 bucks and quit running that antiquated 5.1 surround sound.

hi there,

i said this last times here.

i just extract the audio samples from Betty, some samples are bad. here is a example. i put one sample in that is ok to compare.
http://rapidshare.co...ems_nominal.rar
well that sounds different from ingame but this is the reason why this happend.

additional note, this also happend to other sounds like lasers, engines etc.

this cause this crackle/stutter sounds.

i just have build a betty mod myself with older clean betty samples and this crackles/stutters are gone ingame!
note for dev; this crackles appears since the switch from MP3 samples to WAV samples. (dev will know what i mean :))

pls dont ask me for this mod except i get a permision to share it, this was just for find the issue and to compensate my deaf because the original betty is to quiet.

see ya later guys.

edit:
the corrupted samples have a "sample flag" called "FSB5_MPEG_HALFRATE", samples who are ok do not have this flag

and guess what do I use?

A USB headset that's 50 bucks (close) and that works perfectly fine with my other 130 games installed on steam.

Yeah, I'm obviously the problem here.

Also, my brother is having the same issues. He has a setup similar to mine and uses stereo headphones too.

So... yeah.

I'll give it a shot, everything is at very high right now

nah, I won't put any money for new headsets or speakers. They're working fine for any other games and they were working fine FOR THIS GAME before.

What ****** me off is that people think I just want to whine about something. If they knew how the game sounds right now they would show a bit more empathy.

About lowering the settings... it seems to improve the audio quality for some unknown reason 0.o

I'll have to try again on Forest Colony Snow, that's the map where the sound distortion is worse for me.

nope just played a game on Frozen City, it's still there.

Perhaps the increase in FPS makes it a little less apparent, but it's there.

edit: confirmed a second time, it's still there, no difference

Lowering graphics settings doesn't work either.

Dude, it is not only one player.
I got a well taken care of system, my drivers are always up to date and my soundcard and speakers are high end products.

So please do not tell me that the error is at my end.
I got about 50+ games installed and the only game with audio problems is MWO. Riddle me this, Batman!

So I gave 7.1 a shot, and I got some audio garbage in the form of an occasional growl in my left ear (I use a gamecom stereo headset until I can afford a Razer Tiamat 2.2).

Also found out the hard way that switching audio modes while in game, via alt/tab, knocks MW:O audio out completely until the game is reset.

I installed an old CMI8738 card I had, with no effect, stuttering still present, some maps seems to be more affected than others, I'm starting to suspect of water,
